Sharon, a goodletter reader, sent us this letter about a constructive organization she's excited about:

Dear goodthings,

Here's one thing that I think is really cool. One is an organization called TROSA. It's in the Research Triangle Park (RTP) and is headed up by a guy named Kevin McDonald. He's a recovered heroin addict who's started a great organization to help other people like him. Currently, over 250 people are in his organization. They go through his 2-year program as an alternative to incarceration, and they work in exchange for food, clothing, and shelter. They have many successful companies, including a moving company and a framing company. It's a tremendous organization.
